The Bisai Ajisai (Hydrangeas) Festival, which is held in June every year, has become very popular with young women since the photos of colorful hydrangea flowers floating in the water were posted by an Instagram user. In this event, visitors enjoy hydrangeas in bloom on precincts of Mimo Shrine, and Japanese traditional culture, including powdered green tea, min’yo (traditional folk song), and Japanese drum performance.
